Draughts puzzles

Each draughts puzzle is a short forced win with English rules: in two, three, or four to five moves every defence loses all its pieces or its last move. Expect sacrifices that use the compulsory capture and kings chasing the final men.

Pick a number. A tick means you solved it in this browser.

Easy

#1–14 · Two-move wins usually come from a king that can trap the last man, or from a capture the opponent is forced to make into your jump.

Medium

#15–27 · Try the move that gives a piece away first: a forced capture often lines the opponent's men up for a double jump.

Hard

#28–40 · In the longer wins look at the squares the defending king can still reach and take them away one by one before you go for the capture.
